ACTIVITES:

• Anyksciai Community Centre (ACC) is the only Community centre in the town of Anyksciai and the members of it are seriously anxious about the women who are in a critical situation, try to solve the problems of children, youth, elderly people, unemployed people and the problems of other members of the community;

• We have Day Centre for socially supported children, where they can do their homework, they can go for extra-curricular activities;

• We care about the forming of positive image of senior citizens, about the fortification of their status, the base of laws, which intercede their social quarantees. We encourage the friendship between the older and the young generations.

• We organise self-helping groups, where women having similar problems discuss with each other try to understand the cause of their problems, recover spiritually. Women's self-confidence and belief in future is strengthened by psychologist's help.

• We established "hot line", that could help people at any time.

• We help all members of the community who are in a critical situation in spite of their age, edukacion and social position.

Acc try to salve these problems:

1. Propogate the realization of the law of equal rights for both sexes, solve discriminational question.

2. Strengthen confidence in people, encourage them to become masters of their lives.

3. Form the strategy for solving the problem of occupation of people.

4. Help to solve social, psychological and judicial problems

We also co-operate with police, manucipality, social workers, job centre, health centre and other unofficial public organizations.

As ACC has no financial support, so your support would be great importance for our organization.
